A request that says only 'I need 300 meters of 6-inch hose' is not enough to select a reliable mine dewatering line. The same diameter can be used on a short clean-water discharge, a long uphill route or a sand-water system, but each duty creates different pressure, material and connection requirements. A complete project brief shortens the quotation cycle and reduces avoidable mismatches.
The pump connection gives a useful starting point, but the route determines the full system duty. A long line, large elevation rise, high solids content or several reducers and bends can change the pressure loss and operating point. Simply copying the outlet diameter may produce excessive velocity, unnecessary pressure demand or a line that cannot deliver the required flow.
A supplier can compare options more accurately when the inquiry describes both the pump and the pipeline. The following inputs are the minimum practical project brief for mine dewatering, water transfer and sand-water discharge.
Position in the system. State whether the line is on the suction side, discharge side or a fixed trunk route.
Transferred medium. Identify clear water, muddy water, sand-water mixture, slurry or another liquid.
Solids concentration and maximum particle size. These affect construction, wear allowance and the need for engineering review.
Pump inlet and outlet. Provide sizes, connection type, nameplate and photos with a scale or measurement.
Required flow. Give the target in m3/h, L/min or another clear unit instead of saying only 'large flow.'
Continuous operating pressure. Use the expected pressure at normal duty, not only the pump's maximum value.
Surge or transient conditions. Describe rapid valve closure, frequent starts, elevation changes or other events that may raise pressure temporarily.
Total route length. Include every hose and pipe section from source to discharge point.
Elevation difference. Record the vertical rise or fall between source, pump and discharge point.
Temperature and environment. Provide fluid temperature, ambient exposure, sunlight, sharp ground, vehicle crossings and installation duration.
Connection and accessory requirements. Specify couplings, clamps, flange or thread standard, reducers, splitters, valves and foot valve needs.
Commercial information. State length per piece or roll, total quantity, destination, unloading conditions and required trade terms.

A PVC layflat hose may be the most efficient starting point when the line is positive-pressure, portable and frequently recovered. Confirm working pressure separately from burst pressure and check the connection design.
A PVC spiral reinforced hose offers shape support for compatible water suction and general discharge. The exact vacuum and pressure duty must match the selected model.
A textile cord reinforced rubber discharge hose provides a heavier flexible construction. Use model-specific pressure and review solids concentration, particle size and velocity.
PE100 HDPE pipe may reduce the need to repeatedly deploy flexible hose along a stable route. Plan fusion, transitions, support, expansion and installation before quotation.
Working pressure is the pressure allowed for normal operation under the specified conditions.
Burst pressure is a destructive or proof-related limit stated for a specific product and test condition. It is not a normal operating target.
Pump maximum pressure is not automatically the pressure at every point in the pipeline. System resistance, elevation, valve position and transients affect the actual duty.
A useful quotation should identify the exact product family and model, dimensions, applicable pressure information, length, connection solution, quantity, packing basis and exclusions. Any unconfirmed vacuum rating, chemical compatibility, certification, custom end or project condition should appear as an item to be verified rather than a marketing promise.
